Simply put, this multifaceted olympic weight bench offers full-body workout capacity at a very reasonable price.
With the reasonable weight limit and the options it offers, you can get really close to total gym replacement with just one purchase. It offers multiple options for upper body and lower body work and supports enough weight for most beginner to intermediate lifters.
Upper Body Work
When I hear the phrase, ‘Olympic bench,’ I think of upper body strength and the Marcy MD-857 offers plenty of torso sculpting options.
The bench is built for stability and the adjustable seatback and sliding platform allows for every chest and shoulder press variation you can think of, while the preacher curls support provides a great opportunity for arm sculpting.
The bar catch can support up to 300 pounds, which is more than the average lifter can bench press, but might be on the low side for serious powerlifters.
This is a great weight bench for beginner to intermediate lifters looking to replace their gym membership, but if you’re a serious powerlifter you might want to check out a more heavy duty bench.
Lower Body Work
